Both green coffee extract and guarana contains caffeine in combination with antioxidants.

Caffeine is increasing energy and has shown to improve athletic performance , but can it also help sedentary people increase their exercise capacity?

That is what the researchers of the following study wanted to find out (Laurence G, et al., 2012).

The participants which were sedentary men were instructed to cycle as quickly as they could for 30 minutes on a stationary bike.

The results showed that the work performed after caffeine ingestion was greater than after placebo. The heart rate, oxygen uptake and energy expenditure during exercise were also greater after the caffeine ingestion.

When we are getting the caffeine from plant extracts which also contain other substances, we are not only getting more energy and better performance. We are receiving additional benefits. Some of these benefits you will see below.

Guarana has demonstrated a high antioxidant activity, and a group of people taking guarana regularly showed lower LDL oxidation when compared with a group that did not (Portella Rde L, et al., 2013). LDL oxidation is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

Green coffee supplementation has been found to improve fasting blood glucose, insulin, and total cholesterol (Asbaghi O, et al., 2020). When green coffee extract was taken for 8 weeks or more, a reduction of LDL was also seen.

When green coffee extract, guarana and L-Theanine are taken together, not only will you get the benefits of increased energy and focus as well as the benefits of antioxidants, but L-Theanine provide calm, relaxation, and focus.

L-Theanine has been found to produce anti-stress effects (Kimura K, et al., 2007).
