Green coffee supplementation has been found to improve fasting blood glucose, insulin, and total cholesterol (Asbaghi O, et al., 2020). When the green coffee extract was taken for 8 weeks or more, a reduction of LDL was also seen.
When 27 studies were reviewed, all of them randomized placebo-controlled trials, green coffee supplementation significantly decreased fasting blood glucose, insulin, triglycerides, and increased HDL, the so-called good cholesterol (Morvaridi M, et al., 2020).
