One thing you can do to slow down brain aging, it’s easy.

In this study the researchers examined structural MRI data and vitamin D levels in 1,865 people from the general population (Terock J, et.al., 2022).

They investigated whether low vitamin D levels were associated with imaging patterns of brain aging, gray matter volumes, whole brain volumes and hippocampus volumes.

Vitamin D deficiency was significantly associated with increased brain age. They found that vitamin D levels were significantly associated with total brain and gray matter volumes.

The researchers suggested that vitamin D has neuroprotective effects on the brain.

This should be easy. Just have your vitamin D levels tested and take enough vitamin D to prevent deficiencies. Ideally you should have vitamin D levels between 50-60 ng/ml.
