GI Health Formula
The GI Health Formula incorporates ingredients traditionally used to treat symptoms of the gastrointestinal tract like heartburn, bloating, discomfort and a sensitive stomach. This formula helps in improving our digestive health.
In line with this, Licorice has been found to have an anti-inflammatory activity (Kim JK, et al. 2006). Therefore, Glycyrrhinizin has been removed from the licorice in the GI Health Formula to avoid the risk of side effects.
Moreover, a significant increase in Lactobacillus bacteria was observed in people consuming Arabinogalactan for 6 weeks (Robinson RR, et al. 2001). Hence, this had a positive effect on the microflora of the colon.
Based on this research, it has shown that aloe Vera demonstrated antibacterial properties against Helicobacter Pylori strains (Cellini L, et al. 2014). In addition, Helicobacter Pylori is a bacteria documented to cause gastric ulcers.
In a recent study, glutamine supplementation prevented exercised induced gastrointestinal permeability (Zuhl MN, et al. 2014). Therefore, increased gastrointestinal permeability is associated with increased inflammation.
